How text extraction works

This tool extracts the actual text layer embedded inside the PDF. It is not OCR. So extraction is 100% accurate and instant for normal PDFs created from Word, Excel or other software. If your PDF is a scanned image or a photo of a document, it does not have selectable text inside – in that case extraction will be empty and you would need an OCR tool.
