Why check links in a PDF?

If you share a brochure, resume, eBook or business proposal as a PDF, broken or wrong links create a poor experience for the reader. Checking links before sharing helps you ensure that website addresses are correct, email addresses are valid and internal navigation works as expected.

Privacy and limitations

All link extraction happens in your browser. Smart Maker does not automatically visit every website found in your PDF and does not store your file. Only resume and biodata need login.

The checker reads standard PDF link annotations. Links that are written as plain text without a clickable annotation may not be detected. A warning means the link may need review, not necessarily that the destination is offline.
